I used assets from the legendary @oryxeleven back for a game jam I did in 2018. I totally forgot to tell him that I made this. until now 😂 It was a fun little jam 8bit, action + comedy. He's thinking of making his assets free. very cool! 😃👍.

Check out the 'Filthium Zero' demo on steam. It was fun. That dive bomb mechanic is great. Protip: when you launch into the air, press the RMB to activate. This took me a while to figure out. Game UI/audio feels great. Very cool.

Thanks for The Razorform shoutout @jackvaniadev. Indeed, indie marketing is very very difficult 💀 . But I'm working hard and taking notes and will share my progress as I continue to develop the game. What worked, what didn't, and all the gory details.
Indies are the future! We've been beating that drum and @romero agrees! (not directly with us, we are not that cool yet, but it's good to see big fish pull up):.

Wow, AI is already building interactive experiences that kinda parallel what games like Myst delivered in lieu of real-time graphics. Of course, it was only a matter of time before Myst graphics could be rendered in real-time. Are people connecting the dots yet?.
Genie 3 feels like a watershed moment for world models 🌐: we can now generate multi-minute, real-time interactive simulations of any imaginable world. This could be the key missing piece for embodied AGI… and it can also create beautiful beaches with my dog, playable real time

Honestly when I first saw the post below, I assumed it was a new indie game, probably announcing that it just reached 100k wishlists in two days.
'OverBlood' released on this day in 1996. A glacial-paced PS1 survival horror set in an frozen-over research center, with an emphasis on puzzles and platforming over combat encounters. Dripping with atmosphere and packed with wonderful character moments, but plays like a chore.

In 2000 my mom BEGGED me to quick stop video games 😑. Then in 2010 she got into an argument w her coworker about whether I actually worked at Bungie or not. She carried around a copy of Time magazine with a TINY picture of me inside. She showed her coworker "He's right THERE!" I.
My dad told me I'm a disappointment. So I thought: "I'll show him!".But then I became an indie game dev.
