Yes, because the only thing preventing people from committing violent crime with machetes is that they have nowhere to voluntarily dispose of their machetes. If they only had somewhere to dispose of them, they would not commit the crime. Problem solved.

The inescapable conclusion Piers appears to arrive at with this disturbing post is one of the following:. (1) Hamas’s numbers are always correct. (2) The images of an intentionally-starved Israeli hostage are not real. Very strange conclusion for a professional journalist.
It’s interesting that all the prominent pro-Israeli voices on here who refuse to believe any Gazan casualty numbers published by the Hamas-run Palestinian health ministry, accept the veracity of hostage pix/videos posted by Hamas without hesitation.

I am not opposed to a Palestinian state. I have never been opposed to a Palestinian state. I have always thought a 2ss is the best of all options. Now go convince Palestinian leadership and society to strive for co-existence.

The unsaid but obvious part of the declarations of intent to recognize a Palestinian state is that it would "exist alongside Israel". The problem is that a critical mass of Palestinians rejects that unsaid part + a critical mass of Israelis rejects the first part.
