Spending the day in celebration and planning at the @C4HSchoolFood 10th Anniversary Gathering. How great to celebrate those 10 years as a National School Food Program finally becomes a reality.

Spending the next couple days at the beautiful Rialto Theatre in Montreal, gathered with hundreds of food movement leaders from all over Canada for the @FoodSecureCAN Convening. So many wonderful people in one room!

Got my jabs! FYI it is very simple to get a vaccine clinic to pop up at your workplace, and it's a fun excuse to hang out with work friends and their families.

It'll die down as drivers figure it out, but it would IMHO be a big help if there were some of those big "NEW" signs on the routes approaching that spot, or on the poles there. Also if the RNC wants to rake in some easy ticketing $ they could hang out there for a day, ha!.

Heads up to the @CityofStJohns - the new traffic light at the crosswalk for the Rennie's River Trail by Dominion is a great safety upgrade, but every single time I've used it someone has straight-up run the red light, usually right after I cross. Driver learning curve! (1/2).

Great to have some time for site visits, including to @LivingWaterFogo who are doing some really cool things with their hydroponic farm in Stag Harbour. (2/2)

Heading home (hopefully! Still stormbound) from Fogo Island after a wonderful couple of days at the PLACE dialogues, hosted this time by @Shorefast with huge helpings of care and intention. (1/2)

Feels like the conversation is dialing in on a tighter understanding of where and when and how food could be an intervention that health insurance covers. Still a ton of important debate on boundaries.

Something to build on - and a ton of public support to do more (will have a @foodfirstNL blog post up soon on that).
