The City is pleased to announce that Sherry Colford is the new Fire Chief for the St. John’s Regional Fire Department. Ms. Colford has been with the fire department for 15 years, most recently as the Manager of 911 and Fire Prevention.
This evening City Hall and the Convention Centre will be lit in yellow in recognition of the passing of Nevaeh Denine, a sweet little girl who taught us all about courage, caring and love. She was an inspiration to us all.

Regarding the loud boom in the east end, we believe that controlled blasting our contractor is doing at Robin Hood Bay was amplified by the low cloud cover. This is common activity that typically happens without attention; we apologize for the concern raised.
Due to high amounts of snow around fences, DO NOT leave your dog unsupervised while outside in a fenced area.
If your dog is able to get over a fence, they should be on leash or tethered while the snow amount remains high, or until you can remove snow from around the fence.
