In early 2024, a new blockchain launched their quest system. 1.2M users showed up. 80M quests were completed. It looked successful... Until 93.5% of users vanished after the airdrop with a negative retention rate: -0.183% But after adding token rewards, RR rose slightly to 0.59%

Finished this book by an optimist @timberners_lee. TLDR: Privacy + data sovereignty + open source + AI can rescue the web from its centralized, misery-fueling attention economy, reclaiming its decentralized roots for a delightful, connected future

take a look at the emoji reactions to announcements in Plasma Discord before and after airdrop
Airdrop farmers are the single worst possible foundation for a community (except for maybe 'gaming' airdrop farmers) They're all mercenary gaslighters who will literally turn the barrel around on you the *instant* you suggest that they'll get less than they think they deserve

So far 'airdrop' + 'gm' spells work: - 100% success rate summoning cute bot replies - 2 tweets, both got exactly 6,6 replies (if this one get another 6, we'll know who's messing with me) - Replier retention: 1/6 -0% repost success for summons, tried once
accidentally discovered you can summon bot replies by posting âgm + airdropâ and now I yearn for the bot attention
