Affordable education really matters. However that should not be based on suppressing price. People often want the best b/c for public svc as the value of it is not internalized. But that’s not a good strategy to navigate markets with severe info asymmetry and adverse selection

Last year, I happened to be in a focus group for a study aiming to hear the voices of TA/RAs who’ve been underpaid for several years. I said UNC would need to strategically invest in grad talents. I’m skeptical why this news should be emphasized. Probably harmful in a long run.
