Accessing care needs is unbelievably complicated Lots of forms, assessments, calls, criteria, disjointed conversations & meetings Who suffers the most? Those with: Mental health needs Cognitive impairments Poor literacy Minority backgrounds Disabled They can’t navigate it

We need to stop saying “hard to reach” patients Many patients are disadvantaged by OUR approach, design & biases in healthcare This is why it’s so important to have a diverse workforce and co-design with patients Maybe the problem is us in healthcare- not them
