Early AC is probably safe in low risk groups, but more definitive data is needed to determine the risk/benefits in a broader population #CardsJC

Q3 It shows the difficulty in appropriately powering studies. A small percentage of screened patients were enrolled and event rates were low #CardsJC

#VT circuitry requires conductive paths insulated by fat, thus reducing current loss as impulses traverse the protected isthmus in #cvMI tissue. https://t.co/3VxleW1T6H

Excited, #EPpeeps! Our paper https://t.co/Aj1aIar2U0 in @NatureCVR made the October cover! Figure shows adiposity and scar in post-infarction patient heart model and the arrhythmia. Background: electrograms acquired during ablation. @JonChrispinMD @Dr_Nazarian_EP @trayanovalab

A new study from @NTrayanova, @JonChrispinMD, and @Dr_Nazarian_EP IDs fat inside the heart as the primary cause of #arrhythmias in heart attack patients — and envisions new treatments for heart rhythm disorders. The results are published in @NatureCVR.

And there you have it! We showed that inFAT in infarcted hearts plays a major role in #VTin3D arrhythmogenesis by slowing conduction in critical VT sites. This means that #ablateVT for post-infarct VTs should be focused primarily on these areas with inFAT. Thanks for reading!

#EPeeps #CardioTwitter #VT Why does it usually take several years post MI before one develops the circuitry for VT? Why do some infarct corridors support VT, while others don’t? See our new findings for some thoughts: https://t.co/mzMPgG2X9t
