Hats off to Sam Bennett, and hard to argue with those numbers. But for my money, Brad Marchand -- the player everyone loves to hate -- might have been the difference. Grit when they needed it most.

I was at a restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska, if you can believe it, so I failed to put the word out. But the 4th goal for Florida would have done it. Man, Oilers had their chances.

Okay, finally, I relent: release the lawnmowers. Florida's full-ice open-netter closes out the Oilers at 5-2. But man, they showed some fight, playing their best hockey down the stretch.

Love him or hate him, Brad Marchand has to go down as one of the best playoff pickups of all time. Yes, the Panthers won it last year without him, but not sure they'd have gotten this far this year without him. Perfect playoff pest -- and scored some big ones.

More great hockey tonight in a wonderful Stanley Cup finals. Seems like the Panthers have taken advantage of a lot of little unforced errors by the Oilers, but Edmonton is showing some grit after getting down 3-0. In this series, an Oilers' comeback is still possible.
