Remembering my uncle Frank Stagg who died on 12th of Feb 1976. Here he is lining out for Roger Casements Gaa club in Coventry in the early 70s.
Showing that he was also just a normal Mayo lad that loved his football.

Uncle Frank gone 46 years today. Died for some very solid beliefs. Unfortunately never got to meet him, was only 3 months old when passed on. He'll never be forgotten
Remembering Óglach Frank Stagg from Hollymount Mayo who died on Hunger Strike on February 12th 1976.I will never forget his sacrifice.

Michael did a fine job in tough circumstances. Lost a lot of quality ballers but 3 semis in 3 years was great going. Got the better of the neighbours a few times too including twice in this years C'Ship. Most of all he's leaving the team in a good place.

Mayo looked good for long periods in 2nd half. I know ref didn't help but we shud have seen it out. Plenty of Positives though. I never seen a player to be close lined as many times as ROD does be. Actually i remember Westport close lined him 4 times in an u21 final few years ago

These feckin cruciate injuries are a curse. Second time around now for probably the greatest ladies footballer of all time and she in her prime. Has to be very hard for Aimee to take but no doubt her love for the game will bring her back.

Might come across somewhat negative in my views here & yes there are positives from our first two league games but at the end of the day we have got to find improvements from last year & ok we're 2 from 2 so far but imo we almost have our cship team out already so we should be.

Exactly 50 minutes before throw-in a Division one game has its time and venue moved.
Calling it an inconvenience would be a disservice for both Mayo & Cork’s players and management, not least supporters that have made a 4 hour+ trip to see the game.

They weren't the same team today as they were all year in Mayo. Conceded more goals today that they did in whole county cship. Celebrations of winning their maiden county title seemed to have taken the edge off them but take nothing away from Moycullen they were mighty impressive

Good to get the frustration/disappointment and opinion of Sunday's loss off the chest. Only ourselves to blame, we had in the bag going into injury time but gave it away. Hope it hurt, it's got to. Has to be changes in personnel and game plan for Cavan in 2 weeks time
