Labor’s introduced 5,034 new regulations. They’ve hurt business, but now they say they want to help?

Labor is shrinking the productive part of the economy with a larger state and 5,000 new regulations. That’s Australia’s reality.

The private sector wants to hire and grow, but the Government’s own policies are squeezing them out of business. The Labor Party are getting the fundamentals of economic management wrong.

Since May 2024, the non-market part of the economy has accounted for 73% of new jobs. The unemployment rate is low at 4.1%, but private sector job vacancies remain high, increasing by 3.2% in May.

After three years in Government, the Prime Minister now says he wants the private sector to lead Australia’s economic growth. What private sector? His Government has almost destroyed it!

Productivity has fallen more than 5 per cent since Labor came to office. 1 per cent down in the last year. Labor has not only hit the private sector, they're now blaming it for Labor's productivity disaster.

Andrew Leigh's attack on the private sector in a McKell Institute speech last week was a disgrace. Under Labor, productivity has plummeted because their policies have contrained the most productive parts of the economy.

5,034 new regulations in just 3 years. Labor has glued red tape to every business, in every way. All Australians pay the price.

Labor’s red tape is sinking the economy. In just 3 years, Labor’s enacted 5,000 new regulations. It’s a dead weight every Australian feels.

Labor spent 3 years wrapping the economy in red tape. Now they say that same red tape is bad! It is genuinely hard to follow what Labor is trying to accomplish. I don’t think they know.

Australia is going out of business under Labor - a massive course correction is required.
