We welcome Labor’s newfound enthusiasm for cutting red tape, but the starting point is they need to eat their own red tape. They should also reconsider putting their faith in housing bureaucracies.

Labor spent 3 years sticking red tape on everything that moved. 5,034 new regulations. In the housing space, they made the National Construction Code more complex. Ed Husic said an NCC freeze would result in shoddy ‘hot boxes’.
