My wife, Anita Ratcliffe, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in April. Our head of department wrote a nice tribute to her on the University webpages: https://t.co/RK8M7wseFN.

How costly is air pollution on younger and older populations? This #JEEM paper (by @BarbaraBoggiano et al.) estimates increases in patient enrollment (3.1% for youth, 6.2% for elderly) due to a 1SD increase in PM10 levels from two UK hospitals. Link: https://t.co/cbA8hbart0

Referees acting as coauthors. That is one of the major changes I have seen as an editor over the past 25 years. Referees are much more strident on insisting that someone else's paper is written how they want it written. This is not about science. This is about style.

Starting this paper in 2015 to seeing it live in @RevEconStudies in 2023 has been quite the journey for me, @DonnFeir, and @robgillezeau! We're so happy it found its home & hope it showcases the broad work economists can do. Many thanks to those who supported us along the way!
