One of my biggest pet peeves about education is fellow educators that smirk when you tell them you're a football coach. I teach my subject well AND teach boys how to be good men. I spend 14-16 hours a day making sure ALL facets of my job are done right in class and on the field.

I'm pro "coaches working in schools" not because they somehow make a team better. They make the ENTIRE SCHOOL better! Coaches can coach no matter what job they do from 7-3. SCHOOL culture benefits from their presence on campus from 7-3.
