Saying we are heartbroken would be an understatement... couldn't tell you how many tears i cried while packing. The hardest room was the nursery where I spent the last 3 years nursing, cuddling and caring for our babies. Thought this would be our forever home 😭💔
Tough day for my family and i. Grew up on these farms and poured my heart into them for the last 14 years building a resilient business, all for broken promises and stubbornness against succession.Parents rather lease out than give me a go.Very disheartening for my true passion 😭

Credit where credit due for #nationalagrally The Nats showed up. The ALP didn't.
For the Prime Minister to ignore hundreds of farmers, many who have spent days on end driving to Canberra from other states, shows that Labor doesn’t care about our agriculture industry.

There's something that I really need your help with for the Suck-cession podcast. I have an anonymous survey on the prevalence of domestic abuse & coercive control in Australian farming families & I would love to have at least 500 people take part. Please take a few minutes to

Two @Griffith_Uni PhD candidates are researching whether chickpea could ignore 'ambassador’ proteins sent by the fungus Ascochyta rabiei. If they can, it could mean chickpea plants could be bred to withstand the fungal invasion of Ascochyta blight. 👉 https://t.co/QdcIEbbfSu

The fortunate problem of high N leaching June in the NAR having big impact on yield potential, given localised trafficability ! 260mm YTD Same N +/- 40mm summer rain +/- 60% total N capture Understand the water = understand the nutrition.

This. #Nitrogen won’t make slow crops grow faster. Only units of heat accumated over time will speed up growth rate. If they need N it will make them grow bigger and will help moderate rhizoctonia. Great article @LouisaFerrier @BCG_Birchip

Impressed with this self regenerating medic. Has had no grazing management in the past ~10+ years whatsoever (or fertiliser or chemical applications)...

The cows are doing a good job at "strip grazing" the barley 😂 headlands must be tastier as they've done it the whole way around the paddock 😅

Thank you @theprojecttv for the opportunity to talk about #keepthesheep & the reality of the Bill that has been rushed through parliament. Removing Australia will not improve animal welfare globally & decreases the welfare of rural communities in WA @keepthesheepWA @livestock_the
Aussie farmers are vowing to push back against the government's new ban on live sheep exports by targeting marginal seats at next year's Federal Election. Keep The Sheep's Dr Holly Ludeman tells us how the ban will affect farmers.

What an educated and great explanation about the challenges facing WA sheep producers in wake of the closure of live export. His point about planes to market countries being a major hurdle is spot on. A buyer I know for an abattoir said exactly that..
Our red meat analyst @Meat_Watcher had a chat to @michlstan on ABC Perth morning show regarding the prospects for the WA sheep sector now that live export is slated for closure. Listen below -

Hey @MurrayWatt @livestock_the have images relevant to current live export you could use instead of outdated propaganda! You can even take them up on a vessel tour to see for yourself our world leading animal welfare but it’s apparent you don’t care for reality. #KeepTheSheep

Media Release: "It sets a concerning precedent when political advantage is prioritised over the actual realities of productive, sustainable agricultural systems with good animal welfare," said David Vandenberghe, ASHEEP & BEEF Chair.

Livestock SA condemns the live sheep export ban, calling it deaf to the industry. Over 670K sheep trucked into SA this year, a 460% increase. The $107M package is inadequate, setting an alarming precedent by ignoring science for ideology. Read more🔗 https://t.co/LZ6Pbr3lUh

Long haul flights emit 47 times more greenhouse gases than ocean freight per ton a mile. Tell me again how boxed meat via planes is superior over live export by sea and will solve all the problems presented by the closure of the trade 🤔🧐

For all those in our communities affected by the Live Export ban passing Parliament tonight do not feel alone. Reach out. There will always be someone there -at the end of a phone, in person, by mail, social media. Doesn't matter if you talk to 1 person or a dozen -just talk. xx
