A little surprised to see FSR creeping up in Q2, 2025 given the northern rain and the late southern break. FSR up from 52.7% (Q1) to 54.5%. Brings the average FSR for 2025 to 53.6% (recall the threshold for herd rebuild/liquidation is 47%).

Hot on the heels of another crappy quarterly performance for Q2, 2025 there are rumours circulating that Beyond Meat is about to file for bankruptcy. Operating losses for 2025 stand at about $US91 million and they've never made an operating profit. Sales performance remains poor.

The US Producer Price Index rose 0.9% m/m in July, the fastest pace in over three years, much higher than the 0.2% expected. This saw annual inflation in the core measure jump from 2.6% to 3.7% y/y and consistent with higher tariffs driving higher inflation amongst businesses.
