I’ll never forget hearing Donald Trump’s racist “shithole countries” comment in a 2018 Oval Office meeting about immigration. Tom Cotton and David Perdue claimed Trump didn’t say it and accused me of lying. The truth comes out.

I’d say, “If this was anybody else…” but it’s so redundant now, what’s the point? We have collectively checked out of caring that our president routinely makes no sense, hurls insults and slurs, and spews lies. Does anything matter anymore?

I agree, and it both breaks my heart and infuriates me. Those who came before us sacrificed so much for this country, and this is how we thank them? It’s astonishingly ungrateful and self-injurious. And it’s an insult to the rest of the world.
I hope people understand that if Trump gets his way America will soon be part of the global axis of evil if we aren't already. You see it in the Caribbean, you see it in Ukraine, and you see it with Trump trying to buddy up to Xi. We are a malevolent force.

Trump and his minions are now pushing legislation to pull us out of the most important and successful treaty in history, which is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO. This is deeply shameful, and supremely dangerous to the security of the U.S. and the whole world.
