Can assure Clive I'm one MP who has no desire to be associated with Mamdani at all. The politics that appeals to NYC would go down like a cup of cold sick in US Rust Belt states or in UK equivalents like North Durham.
To those MPs trying to lay claim to Mamdani’s victory: he’s a democratic socialist - not a mouthpiece for corporations & billionaires. If he were in the Lab party & hadn’t been expelled/suspended or hounded out - he’d almost certainly be in @mainstreamlbr Help us rebuild

The Prime Minister is right. Fans should not be prevented from attending a football match in our city because of threats or violence. I told the Chief Constable over a week ago that I did not believe a ban on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans was the right action & that remains my view. 1/2

Tel Aviv fans have been banned from watching their team play because they might be the victims of abuse. Maybe I’m misunderstanding crime, but shouldn’t the people who commit the violence be the ones who get punished and not the victims of it? His glee is chilling.
