The npm package "aws-lambda" is NOT types for Lambda, but a CLI deployment tool. 700,000 of you downloaded this last week and I know you're not actually deploying with it. Stop importing it in your functions! Even the AWS Docs have been updated to reflect this!

Forget writing unit tests. Just go ahead and test in prod. It builds character.

Don’t get me wrong, Rust is an excellent choice of Lambda runtime for a lot of use cases but at this point Step Functions is more _serverless_ than Lambda in terms of a compute programming model. Conflating serverless and Lambda feels like a regression.
