The Falcons now have until Monday at 4:00 p.m. ET to avoid the Matt Ryan $7.5 million roster bonus; Ryan agreed to delay the due date by four days to accommodate the pursuit of Deshaun Watson.
I will say this about the Atlanta Falcons. I don't think enough credit is given to the job that Ryan Nielsen has done as the defensive coordinator for this team. Those guys believe in him. And they prove it every Sunday at 1 pm.

I have some personal/professional news. This year I will be afforded the opportunity to do color commentary for the SIAC. Games this year will air on ESPN+. My first game is October 16. I'm so thankful for the opportunity. If you can, check your boy out! 🙏🏾
ANNOUNCEMENT: I would like to announce that I'm joining the Roc-a-Fella team, damn, wrong one lol. I will be the Executive Producer of LOSA and Co-Host of a daily podcast on YouTube and ALL audio streaming platforms.

The Atlanta Falcons fired Arthur Smith in the middle of the night. For those that follow the team understand that this was coming. What I don't understand is that in the press release, it stated that Arthur Blank and Rich McKay will lead the search and Fontenot will have input🤔
This was the most sensible hire for the
#Falcons
. This one checks all the boxes. Morris is going to make it happen. I believe. Give the organization credit for getting the right fit.
It just feels different with Matt Ryan this year. I feel like I know the person more. From being more relaxed in interviews to speaking on a topic that makes a lot of people feel uncomfortable. I don't know if these actions equals more wins, but it damn sure made me more of a fan
The highest the Minnesota Vikings picked in the Kirk Cousins era was 18th. The other five years, 23rd twice, 30th, 31st and 32nd. So.........Fontenot and Morris had a point when they said they don't plan on picking this high anymore.
Damn.....that was hard for me to type
So in 2020 Raheem Morris was the Falcons interim head coach, goes 4-7 and then the Falcons bring in Arthur Smith. Smith goes 21-30 in 2 years with no playoff appearances and then we go back to Raheem Morris. Okay cool.
The Ridder issue is bigger than any year of this regime because this team was built to win now. You loaded up on defense with "angry vets," and you have a lot of young talent on defense. Ridder's play would've been a lot more acceptable last season buried under salary cap hell.
It's funny how the Falcons are on pace to lose this game based off a fumble by Bijan and an interception by Ridder. You will only hear the conversations about Ridder though.
The Atlanta Falcons now have a 29% chance of making the playoffs. Could've gone up to 85% with a win. This just goes to show you how big this game was. And no, injuries can't be used as an excuse.
Tyler Allgeier currently has 743 yards rushing on the season. William Andrews rushed for 1,023 yards as a rookie in 1979. Allgeier has to average 94 yards/game to surpass that. The 5th round pick out of BYU is on to something.
Arthur Smith has decided to start Taylor Heinicke. Going into a game that is a must win game, he decided to go with the veteran. Smith won't admit this, but that says a lot about Desmond Ridder's future in the red and black.
Nate McMillan said something very interesting in the postgame presser. He said JC reminds him of a guy he played with, Shawn Kemp. Let that sink in.
Not a bad comparison btw.

@JoyTaylorTalks
goes in on the Atlanta Falcons after comments about Lamar Jackson’s injury history. 🔥
“The injury history isn’t a concern for the Atlanta Falcons, it’s money!”
I know what Trae did. I've come to expect that from him when the lights are the brightest. But when Collins plays like he did tonight, they are a tough ass team to beat.
People who are in long lasting relationships understands this conversation. My wife and I joke all the time about who was feeling who the most when we first met. If you're upset after watching this, you're telling on yourself.
So we really gon hop on the defending honor train? The young boy made a whole song about your wife, was a "guest" in your crib, please help me understand. That train left a long time ago buddy.
A cool Bijan moment yesterday: There was a wr who stopped short of the goal line in 11 on 11. Bijan ran up and encouraged him to touch the goal line, and he obliged. There is a certain aura that young man has about him.
Desmond Ridder said Bijan Robinson made a mistake yesterday and Des took it upon himself to be the 1st to say something to the rookie RB and encourage him to learn from it and keep moving. The general consensus from guys about Bijan is he’s a great guy and hard worker.

I got a chance to catch up with Jeff Ulbrich after practice. I asked him about Raheem being hired to be the head coach for the
#Falcons
. His response was telling.
"He's one of the best (coaches), if not the best coach I've been around"

We all know that it's the little things that get you over the top as a football player. I love seeing stuff like this from wide receivers. Check out Drake London here

fans for a second. I feel we can be real with each other, because that's just how we get down. As we approach the way-too-early mock draft season, I want to do a PSA. I need y'all to do me a favor, if you see a mock, and it has the Falcons drafting a
Regardless of what the

do at quarterback, out of the young QBs coming out this year, I really like Michael Penix. I think whatever team drafts him won't regret it.
Dear Mr. Smart,
I heard J.T. Daniels is supposed to be a first round pick in next year's NFL draft. Do you mind letting your OC call plays so he can prove it in the second half?
Deepest concern,

I asked Penix if he met with the

wide receiver, tight end, even defensive back in the first round; boycott that website for this draft season. Let me explain why. The New Orleans Saints won a professional football game 9-0, with Taysom Hill at quarterback. Their defense terrorized Tom Brady by sacking him
The
#Falcons
will be picking their quarterback here soon. However, I think he worst thing they can do is try to come in and run "Sean McVay's" offense. Zac Robinson has to look at the personnel that he already has and figure out how his scheme will highlight them.
