If Chase goes under we’re cooked and FDIC won’t even matter.
Just a reminder: Never have more than $250,000 in a bank. The FDIC insures individual deposits up to 250k. If you have 400k in an individual bank and it goes under 150k of your money would vanish with no recourse.

You love to see it! The great conceit of the perpetually outraged is that everyone else wants to soak in their sad political bullshit all the time too. Most people in tech do not! They just want to talk about computers with fellow nerds without all the nonsense.

This is misleading. Plenty of companies that do not rely heavily on more managed AWS services were fine. We rely on EC2 and had no issues.
Today is stronger proof than ever that shipping on Vercel is more than “AWS with more steps” 1. Fewer steps 2. AWS went down. Vercel, largely, did not.

Hell yeah! I've been saying "Checkout Falcon & Async Ruby" forever. If you've been holding out, Shopify has given you permission to `bundle add falcon` to your Rails app and delete whatever other server you're using to give it a go. This will unlock so much for Rails. 🚀

Does anyone know a way to get fixtures working with mongoid?
@quardart_seisey First trick is to get rid of rspec! Get rid of factories. Use minitest, full core saturation, and exclusively using fixtures for fast txn-resets.
