There are many good causes in the world. This is definitely one of them and Canada is behind. It's a cruel illness that rapidly takes away an individual's ability to work, move and speak and it only gets worse from there. @PattyHajdu, we need your help to #EndALS. @ALSAction.
Despite ALS being first identified in the 1800s, there are still only 2 approved drugs to treat it: 1) riluzole (Rilutek), which may extend life by 6 to 19 months; and 2) edaravone (Radicava), which may modestly improve functioning / life expectancy for some people. #EndALS
