i came back to san francisco after the pandemic to build a tech company and give the city another shot. watching days long power failures in the most expensive market in the country makes you question that choice. this is not what innovation looks like.

i come from puerto rico where the lights go out after hurricanes. in san francisco the lights went out without an earthquake without a storm just incompetence. for a city that calls itself the most innovative in the world this is embarrassing and alarming.

More than 48 hours into the PG&E meltdown & most of the Muni subway is still down. Right as people get ready for the holiday. It’s outrageous & unacceptable. It’s time for serious accountability. It’s time for San Francisco to break away from PG&E & create a public utility.

sf claims to be the capital of innovation but cant keep the lights on for three days. maybe we need a YC demo day for infrastructure.

this is proof electric monopolies dont work. highest prices worst service and here is the evidence in the most innovative city in the world. no refrigeration food rotting internet down basic needs gone. all in the middle of the holiday season. we need competition decentralize

you can see in real time how powerful pg&e is. days without power and no real answers. it feels like even the mayor has no control over them. when a private utility can hold an entire city hostage something is deeply broken. this is not leadership this is capture. @DanielLurie

i moved back to san francisco after the pandemic to give it a second chance. i love this city. but watching how basic infrastructure failures are handled right now is alarming. if this is the response to days without power and water imagine a real disaster. san francisco is not

coming from puerto rico, an island that lives with power outages and natural disasters, it’s honestly wild to see how unprepared san francisco is. when the grid fails back home, people know what to do. here, one outage and the whole system feels fragile. this city should be able

3 days with no power or water in civic center high rises. you publicly said it would be restored today at 2pm. now we’re told it may take a full week. residents and small businesses have lost thousands throwing out all our food including everything bought for the christmas

.@DanielLurie 3 days with no power or water in civic center high rises. you promised restoration today at 2pm. now we’re being told it could take another week. this is unsafe, unsanitary, and unacceptable. come meet residents at nema or 150 van ness and explain how this is ok in

literally humanoid robots are raising massive rounds with zero traction. for the same cost, you can build far better specialized robots that actually work. we don’t model airplanes after birds. why are we modeling robots after humans?

YC taught us to never take a sales meeting without asking these 7 questions first: 1) What made you decide to take this call 2) Tell me about the problem. How long have you had it 3) How bad is it? Who else does it affect? 4) How do you quantify the cost/impact of this problem

never quit on yourself. if you really want something, stay in the game. it only takes a couple yeses, even after thousands of nos.

sf has its flaws, but it’s still the place you come to build things that shouldn’t exist yet. this is why i’m here. also… if my startup doesn’t work out, i can always become a full-time sunset sailor.
