Got a new phone & didn’t install Twitter/X so that might be it for me. I especially miss my music ed gurus like @DrFautley @aakallio @ethanhein et al so DM me if you’re on a happier platform. Meanwhile I’ll be live-Tooting my responses to the second Draft NSW 7-10 Music Syllabus.

As if we hadn’t had enough family sadness this week, my studio assistant, cuddle-friend & chief purrer Praya suffered a collapsed & coagulated lung & had to be put down. Humberstones need some emotional time off now please.

Very excited to hear changes to the draft Music Syllabus 7-10 from NESA via DoE friends yesterday. It sounds like a really thorough response that addresses all of the main criticisms in the report I contributed to. Doesn’t meet all recommendations but one step at a time!.

So after over a decade of tertiary teaching, I’m teaching research methods for the first time today @SydneyCon. It has been so much fun to prepare & I hope the pre-service teachers will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed prepping it!.
