You’re seeing plenty of why the Colts drafted Alec Pierce today. He’s caught two high-point, jump ball TDs. Put the defender on a poster both times.
Alec Ogletree also looking nice out there. Very fluid, looks the part.
Speaking with the media, Colts owner Jim Irsay said that Quenton Nelson has asked for every new draft pick’s phone number so he can welcome them and communicate expectations to them.
We live in a timeline where Jim Harbaugh, Peyton Manning, Kerry Collins, Andrew Luck, Josh Freeman, Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan, Anthony Richardson, and (soon to be) Joe Flacco have all been with the Colts.
How random. How beautiful.
A draft note from Colts Camp: Former Illinois standouts Jihad Ward and Carroll Phillips saw my Senior Bowl hat on, flagged me down and made sure to hype up their guy, current Illini senior running back, Reggie Corbin. Said he and Jonathan Taylor are the best backs in the Big Ten.
I don't know how this hasn't come up yet (or I haven't seen it), but

fifth-round pick Danny Pinter was Pro Football Focus' top college right tackle in 2019 and their second-overall offensive tackle with a grade of 41.7, only behind Oregon's Penei Sewell (57.0).

HC Shane Steichen said Kwity Paye picked up symptoms after the game and is in the concussion protocol.
Dallis Flowers suffered an Achilles injury and is out for the season.
Jonathan Taylor will be out there at practice Wednesday. They've had good conversations.
Many of you already know, but a bit of personal news: I am taking the next step in my writing career by accepting an offer from the Indianapolis

CB Kenny Moore II called it "deeper than ball" when describing how it felt to have Shaquille Leonard back out there. Even the emotions of just seeing him put his jersey on before the game. He went on to describe the closeness of the core defenders playing together.
Cool stat: Jonathan Taylor has rushed for 80-plus yards in four consecutive games. Only he, Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb have done that this season.
Taylor is the first Colt to do so since Joseph Addai (2007), and is the first NFL rookie to do it since Saquon Barkley (2018).
Andrew Luck currently has 158 touchdown passes in 79 career games and needs two TD passes on Sunday against the Titans to join Dan Marino (182) and Aaron Rodgers (160) as the only other players with at least 160 TD passes in their first 80 career games in NFL history.
The

' roster has been completely shaken up over the last few offseasons, but now it already ranks as one of the best in the National Football League.
My latest:
I've already been questioned twice since saying Kwity Paye had "another big game" yesterday.
Dude has the second-most QB pressures in the entire NFL over the last three weeks and *the* most in the last two weeks.
The sports betting world has the

rookie camp is wrapped. Can't judge these guys off their first action, but Anthony Richardson had a spotty day with timing/accuracy, which we knew coming into it. Ball jumped out of his hand, though. He had no wasted time; was practicing dropbacks in between reps.
The Colts have done their locker room a major service today by bringing back Michael Pittman Jr., Zaire Franklin, and Tyquan Lewis. All three leaders and guys that the young players gravitate to.

In my first season with the team, this has been an amazing year. I truly appreciate you guys following along and watching/reading/listening to our work. Big things ahead for the Colts in 2019!
I love this move by 'Flus. The first thing he did with Darius Leonard when the offseason program began was to make sure he's brought down to earth and that he has things to work on even though he's the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year and a First-Team All-Pro.
We just spoke with Michael Pittman Jr. and DeForest Buckner.
Pitt said his hip is good and he’ll be out here Day 1. Also described how deep Anthony Richardson is in his studying habits.
Buck singled out Dayo Odeyingbo/Kwity Paye when talking about the potential of younger guys.

Lots of Carson Wentz news today being credited to one national reporter when every local reporter at camp has been saying the exact same things since 10am this morning, and then immediately after practice when they spoke with Marcus Brady themselves. Start with them.
Jim Bob Cooter said Anthony Richardson is a unique young man with a good head on his shoulder. Says he sees and understands what's going on at a high level. Has been impressed with Richardson in the meeting rooms.
Doing some research for a Colts piece and found this:
T.Y. Hilton has now played a full 16 games against the Texans and has caught 85-of-139 targets for 1,537 yards (18.1 avg.) and 10 touchdowns.
Whew.
Anthony Richardson now speaking to media. Said he got the playbook the day after the draft and he's working through it pretty well and trying to get better each day.

DC Gus Bradley now speaking with the media.
He's excited about the three corners, JuJu Brents, Darius Rush, and Jaylon Jones, especially their length. Gotta match their ability with that. Rush is great at the LOS and has tremendous speed. Called him a student of the game.

LG Quenton Nelson (toe) is back at practice today after missing Wednesday and Thursday. Drew Ogletree (concussion) is now also out of the red jersey.
Darius Leonard was the NFL's No. 1 graded LB this week, and Pierre Desir the No. 6 cornerback. Zaire Franklin was also the No. 8 special teamer with an 83.0 grade.

He said he had some options and called the process "stressful." Said it was tough to turn down some of the options but Chris Ballard made it easy.
Said the Colts organization is a very special place to him.
We're seeing what a weapon Drew Ogletree can be but the Colts are also likely getting Jelani Woods back soon as well. And Kylen Granson has been solid all year.
