Carson Wentz: Hey could I have number 11?
Michael Pittman Jr: Nah, I’d rather keep it
Wentz: ah okay, I kinda wanted to change anyway.
Media: TROUBLE IN INDY. BAD START? CARSON WENTZ BRINGS BAD CHEMISTRY TO INDY.
*insert goofy graphic with Wentz frustrated*
Colts 2020 NFL Draft:
Round 1: DeForest Buckner
Round 2: Michael Pittman Jr
Round 2: Jonathan Taylor
Round 3: Julian Blackmon
What an absolute haul for Chris Ballard.
The illegal contact call was iffy at best but that pass interference call in the end zone is truly one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen in a football game.
Complete game changing call to give a win to another team. Speechless that was allowed to happen
What’s the point of these comments? Yeah I work at Target. I also work for Cover 1 and Stampede Blue. I work three jobs so I can pay rent and also pursue my dream. I have no shame in that and I never will. One day this will be a full time gig but right now it’s not.
It is unbelievable how this team beat the Patriots and Cardinals then just stopped playing the last two weeks in win and in games.
I’m a Frank Reich guy. I’m an Eberflus guy. I like most of these players. This is straight inexcusable though.
Quenton Nelson was an absolute animal on Sunday. One of the best run blocking performances that I've ever seen from an Offensive Lineman. Here is a video of all his pancakes for you all to thoroughly enjoy.
Shane Steichen solidifies a winning season in his first year with the Colts.
Inherited a 4 win Colts team that was a mess last season. Lost his starting quarterback early in the year. Still locked in a winning season
Best case scenario: Indy catches fire and wins a bunch in a row (lol)
Also best case: Indy completely falls apart and gets a high pick
Absolute worst case: 8-8-1
What will happen: 8-8-1
NFL is basically the WWE now.
All scripted. Fixed. They pick who they want to win.
It’s all for entertainment & honestly I don’t even know why I watch & care so much.
It’s all fake.
The most Colts thing ever is drafting a 250 pound QB that stayed healthy for almost all of his college career just for him to get banged up multiple times in his first two NFL starts
Michael Pittman Jr is now only 29 yards receiving away from 1,000 yards on the year. Would be the Colts first 1,000 yard receiver since T.Y Hilton in 2018
Colts' Right Tackle Braden Smith finished the season with 531 snaps in pass protection and allowed 0 sacks and just 1 QB Hit. Insane milestone for a player who transitioned to OT just 2.5 years ago
So Jim Irsay forced Frank Reich to name Sam Ehlinger as the starter for the rest of the year..
Then two weeks later Reich is fired, and the Interim HC can go back to Matt Ryan. This organization is wild
I have no clue how the Colts bring Wentz back after these past few days. Irsay is pissed, Reich gave him the cold shoulder, and Ballard is basically ripping into him right now.
Did not expect this at all
Colts called 15 designed QB runs in Anthony Richardson's short stint as the starter in 2023.
Those 15 runs went for 100 yards (6.66 yards per carry) and 4 touchdowns. 26.7% explosive run rate on these carries
Chris Ballard was absolutely played last year by the Eagles. He bid against himself and overpaid for a QB that nobody else wanted.
How he recovered from that disaster is outstanding. Upgraded at QB and added back draft picks. A++
Trade!! The
#Falcons
are in agreement on a trade of QB Matt Ryan to the
#Colts
, per
@MikeGarafolo
,
@TomPelissero
and me. ATL gets a 3rd back.
Fallout from the Deshaun Watson situation, with Ryan starting over in Indy. Ryan gets a contract adjustment with more guaranteed money.
Time to finally see which rookie linebacker was the best in the NFL last season.

Shane Steichen is great, the Colts OL was strong, Zack Moss ran hard, pass catchers made plays, and the defensive front seven looked strong as well.
Lot to like from Indy today. Really promising divisional win
Can’t complain about today at all. Anthony Richardson had some good moments, and he’ll only get better as he gets more comfortable.
Defense looked good too. Now the WRs, OL, and RBs…. 😬
Jumping off for the night but the Colts took the best team remaining on their schedule to the wire despite committing several turnovers and being straight robbed at the end of the game.
Shane Steichen is the man
I just want to take a moment to appreciate this Colts season. One year removed from the most abysmal season since the 2011 tank, the Colts are in a win-and-in scenario in week 18 this year.
Couldn’t ask for much more out of Shane Steichen in year one (again, with his backup QB!)
In our, rightful, anger towards Ballard/Reich, we are forgetting to also blame the players for this mess.
DeForest Buckner, Yannick Ngakoue, Kenny Moore II, Stephon Gilmore, Braden Smith, Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly…
Big money guys playing like garbage through 2 weeks
SHANE STEICHEN. Hell yeah. I’m shocked Indy went back to the Philly OC route after Frank Reich but this is a huge get. Top candidate on the market coming to Indy. Let’s gooooo
The Colts took a really really good Ravens team to the wire with their backup QB in what is supposed to be a retooling type of year.
Impressed by this Colts team. Would have been a great game with a starting QB out there
Anthony Richardson through 5 quarters of play:
30 of 47 (63.8%) for 279 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT.
13 rushes for 75 yards and 3 TDs.
Richardson has been outstanding so far this season. Colts just need him back healthy to continue his development
The Sam Ehlinger news just lifted a major weight off my shoulders. No more even kinda caring about these Colts games. Every week is just gonna be a fun disaster going forward.
I’m so excited. Jump balls to Pierce please
Josh Allen missed a month of his rookie season due to an elbow injury. Matthew Stafford played just 13 of his first 32 games due to multiple injuries (including a shoulder injury).
Not ideal at all and this sucks but it’s not career crushing
Anthony Richardson had the MRI on his shoulder. The Colts are waiting for the results to confirm the initial diagnosis of a Grade 3 AC joint sprain, per sources. The team is bracing for the QB to miss 4-6 weeks of time.
From where I’m sitting, Anthony Richardson looks like the real deal at QB. He’s going to be a superstar
(I’m sitting like 500 miles away in Virginia but trust me I can see very well from where I am)
Jonathan Taylor Franchise record for rushing yards in a season.
Michael Pittman Jr over 1,000 yards receiving on the year.
6th round pick Isaiah Rodgers 3 INTs this year.
What a season for the 2020 Colts’ Draft Class
Seeing so much results based analysis on that 4th down play. Playcaller schemes up a wide ass open conversion and he’s somehow the one getting the blame.
Some Colts player stats through two weeks:
- LT Bernhard Raimann has allowed 1 pressure and 0 sacks in 85 pass block snaps. Will Fries has allowed 4 pressures and 0 sacks as well
- Kwity Paye is 10th in PFFs Win Rate at 14.0%
- Grover Stewart is 2nd among DT's in run stops (7)
The NFL fined
#Colts
RB Benny LeMay,
#Ravens
CB Chris Westry and
#Saints
DT Jalen Dalton $3,667 each for unsportsmanlike conduct after each received taunting penalties last week.
I'm told the
#Colts
"sent a jet" for free agent CB Stephon Gilmore's visit today with the team, per source.
Gilmore's team visit was listed on the NFL's wire.
Lost 34-14 last week. Worst performance of the season, things looking bleak..
Come back with a beatdown over the Steelers in prime time. Shane Steichen is a fantastic coach
Okay no more moping about Anthony Richardson. Time to look forward to this next week and on.
Gardner Minshew is a capable player, the RB room is really good, the OL is balling, and the pass catchers are coming around. Oh and we got this superstar at the helm
Pro Football Focus’ Top 5 Corners in coverage grade this season:
1. Jack Jones, Patriots - 90.4
2. Pat Surtain II, Broncos - 89.1
3. Sauce Gardner, Jets - 87.8
4. ISAIAH RODGERS SR, Colts - 87.5
5. Patrick Peterson, Vikings - 83.7
Frank Reich establishing himself this year as a top 2-3 coach in the NFL. From leading this team through crazy situations to his masterful playcalling, he is an absolutely amazing coach.
The Colts got a great one
I know we are all disappointed about the ending but the Colts had a fantastic season despite losing their starting QB early in the year.
Winning record, took a good Texans team to the wire. This sucks but this is a successful start to the Shane Steichen era
The Jonathan Taylor story just gets weirder by the day. Wants a multi year, market setting contract following a season where he dealt with a lot of injuries.
Then fails his physical with back/ankle injuries but requests a trade when the team is cautious about extending him?
