Super excited to be heading to @reactjs Conf in several weeks!. First large developer conference I've been to since WordCamp Atlanta 2015, which was my last year in school before dropping out to pursue journalism. Been a wild ride since but stoked to be headed to Vegas to learn.

Amazed when I meet people with multi-thousand dollar Zapier bills. Just spent the past 90 minutes writing a quick microservice that listens for Stripe webhooks, reads data from Hubspot, and writes data to Linear. Put it on Vercel. Will cost us less than $10/month to maintain.

Just saw this and was in shock. I grew up 5 minutes from Tyrone. Not the best of memories there, but wild Jey @WWEUsos is from there.
I think the biggest surprise from WWE Unreal is that Jey Uso lives in Tyrone, GA.

AI for development is awesome. Use it daily. But it cannot be used to do the things — at least at any serious production company — that all the software engineering FUD pushers on Twitter say it can.

Even the best agents on Opus frequently write slop, especially when the codebase gets too large for the context window. We’ve spent some time lately setting up DeepWiki for our repo, writing rules files, etc. and it still spits out Ruby and JavaScript against style guidelines.
Be wary of people who spew AI hype and screenshot their army of agents but don't seem to be shipping anything but demos. I'm a big fan of AI assistance and use agents and chat everyday, but there's a ton of engagement farming happening out there.
