Vitally important to ensure we’re prepared for the next crisis (pandemic or otherwise). Even better if this prep is part of overall agility and adaptability, which our @CIHR_IRSC grant with @AnnUdod and @PamBaxter17 means to address.
There is no way to know what will cause the next pandemic or when it will be. But that there will be more pandemics is a biological given. Pretending it won't happen because we're mad we had to go through Covid, or assuming we've got decades till the next one is very unwise.
