I got to go to a sendoff party last night for

as he prepares to go into the Army Ranger program tomorrow. He gave up a promising college baseball career and the comforts of home to serve our country. This guy has VERY uncommon character!

Just finished the season with this wonderful group of young men!I am so thankful for the hard work they have put in and toughness they have showed for the last 3 summers. They and their parents allowed me to coach them hard and bought in completely.Their futures are very bright!

It’s was a lot of fun to get back on a baseball field this week! Could have done without all the rain but it wasn’t enough to slow us down. It was great to get back out with all of our coaches and players. Looking forward to another great weekend next weekend!

19 years ago today, I went out with some friends and ended up meeting my wife! We have had so many ups and downs over the years but we love each other and we have been too stubborn to quit when it got hard!

I find it interesting that travel ball coaches recommend players to coaches at levels of college baseball that they don’t ever seen play. If your gonna tell a coach your kid can help him, you need to know what the college level he coaches looks like.

Excuses are very easy to come by when people do get what they want. Pointing the finger is much easier than looking in the mirror. We need to raise our kids to work harder for what they want instead of assigning blame as an excuse!
