I feel like I understand the strangeness of the U.S. Senate now. This single paragraph explains it. I don't feel so crazy anymore. Thank you. https://t.co/TTiu6K64SG

We asked a bunch of Jets/Bills players about the turf at MetLife since it has a history of issues. New turf was put down before this season. RB Breece Hall who had a productive night, had the best answer. “Grass. That’s my answer. We want grass”

39-year-old tendons will tear because that’s what a violent game does, but it’s become absurd that we can’t have grass in every outdoor stadium at this point. The fact that maintenance costs or concert bookings are putting billions of dollars in contracts at risk is insane.

Regardless of how much time Aaron Rodgers misses, it’s absolutely mind boggling that the Jets and Giants continue to play on an artificial field that spits up little pebbles of rubber

Even in the context of the Jets--the New York Jets--this is almost unspeakably bleak.

Do you remember this photo? People have taken pains to banish it from the record of September 11, 2001. The story behind it, though, and the search for the man pictured, are our most intimate connection to the horror of that day. From '03, by @TomJunod:

The town that we love and grew up was devastated on 9/11. We pray for our friends and their families today and everyday. And we never ever forget. A Town's Long Road to Recovery - Los Angeles Times

The road is long and has many twists and turns, but the journey does get easier. We’ve come a long way already, and we’ll always remember #September11th

Today we honor the memory of all the brave souls we lost 22 years ago. May we always remember their stories, the courage of our first responders, and the sacrifices our troops made to protect us in the years that followed.

Vivek Ramaswamy was not misquoted in my story. Here is the unedited audio and a transcript of our exchange about 9/11 and January 6:

The story of the 2023 New York Mets is one of true disappointment. Injuries, regression and now, at the deadline, when they wanted to add to a championship-caliber team, retreat. David Robertson moves up in the NL East standings to the Marlins. What a weird sentence to write.
