A landmark study that will transform care, but also cures and quality of life.
First phase III randomized study showed an improvement in overall survival with proton-based IMPT compared to photon IMRT in head and neck cancer. This was presented today during the @PTCOG_Official plenary session by @SJFrankMD. The exciting data provides justification for IMPT.
