@EricNiesen More childish bs. Don’t compare it to football. There needs to be relationship between the C and P. They make the adjustments from pitch to pitch. Not a coach from the side(dugout). Might as well tell your hitters whether to swing or take. Video game bs

Great insight and perspective from @twuench! I highly recommend following him. Knows the game inside and out. @MLB @baseball @MLBFrontOffices
MLB went from the business of baseball to the business of marketing w/Analytical Baseball, which has taken away from the on-field product. MLB State-Sponored marketing has also further taken away from the product*. The target market is no longer fans, it's fanbois ("Enjoyer" /

Marlins need to hire some real coaches with real experience. Not just some people(who act as coaches) who know how to use Google AI. Who would want to pitch there? Coaches will call the pitches from the dugout like it’s 10U. @MLB
The Marlins currently have $32,300,000 in payroll commitments for 2026 and they just signed a -0.1 fWAR player with a 35.7 K% & .396 SLG% to be their starting 1B Blame big market teams for ruining baseball all you want but THIS is the real problem

Fred Freeman 🗣️ “Anybody can hit homers in BP” “Ground ball to second turns into a homerun in the game” “You may have a boring BP, but your stats aren’t boring”

All hitters need to listen from these 2 great hitters! Most hitters today are way too mechanical! The perfect swing does not exist. So stop chasing it. Consistency is the key!! Compete at game time! @MLB #baseball #hitting
From the @theboone29 podcast. He and Edgar compare eras, talk about mechanics vs. competing, and keeping it simple.

What this… Pitching is better??? Look at this drop in P Velo! Pitching is good(don’t get me wrong) but why have these low velos gone way up?? Explain that Velo lovers. @MLB

Parents please do your homework to find a “qualified” hitting instructor! I have many parents asking me to fix their son’s swing and approach…almost daily! @mlb #Baseball #hittting
This is the HLP BLUEPRINT for failure folks! When your front shoulder flies open your toast! If you watch until the end you will notice that Barry Bonds was slightly out front on this swing and only because of his tremendous power was he able to drive this pitch for a HR. This

This is the dumb shit I see on X. Knock off your bs. I know this game. A lot of shit words to post. Maybe you were bored. You responding to the wrong guy. Sit this one out
Our cages are 14 feet high. Any ball off the back net is a single at best. Guys in the league can leave the park 7-10 feet off the top net from home plate. The cage is small. The field is big.

Exactly. I feel the same way! @MLB
There is a misconception in the Baseball Community that us retired @MLB players are totally against ANALYTICS and that is not true! I’m not speaking for everyone but I know I wanted as much information about the pitchers I was going to face as possible. I would develop my plan

Improving ball flight??? I’ve been in baseball 40+ years and have never heard “train to improve ball flight”? Ridiculous. Your goal when you train is to be consistent. Line drives hitters. Nothing in top of net! There are no cage HRs!! @MLB
Anything you train should be about improving ball flight. 1️⃣ AUG 2025: Initial Assessment 2️⃣ SEP 2025: Improved Rotation & Intent 3️⃣ NOV 2025: Faster w/ Direction Swing changes are to allow the production to be easier and more consistent. (📷: @BrandonDim24)

This became a metric because some college grad data person said that it’s important. MLB needs to calm it down on the data. It’s creating a robotic environment. This game is about strategy and feel. @MLB
Ketel Marte's bat speed as LHH * 72.7 MPH avg * 60th out of 196 hitters Ketel Marte's bat speed as RHH * 78.5 MPH avg * 3rd out of 282 hitters Insane pop from the right side. Higher average bat speed than Judge or Vladdy. Only Caminero and Stanton swung faster in 2025.

This is a metric that means absolutely nothing to me. Why even have it as a metric??? Maybe some data person could give me a chart with colors to explain why it’s a “useful” metric. @MLB

What was his EV? What was his “bat speed”. @MLB @DrivelineBB
Boggs drops the bat head for a base knock vs. Dave Stewart in the 1990 ALCS. Hitters hit. Even when it’s not pretty, it’s beautiful. Every hit is not a ball perfectly squared up with perfect balance and posture,

How to hit a HR in an elevator! How the &$@# did someone teach this kid this swing??? Absolutely terrible that there are hitting coaches teaching this! Thanks to @shegone03 for exposing them! @MLB

Amazing!!! @MLB
Ty Cobb could have gone 0 for his next 2,529 ABs and would have still been a career .300 hitter. If we assume a 600 AB season, then we're talking about going hitless for over 4 years.

Dont forget to add: -No baseball playing experience necessary -Math degree fluent in Charts with colors -degree in video games -must praise cage HRs -must know how to tell hitters to take their shirts off and put 6000 nodes on -know how to make hitters K more @MLB @shegone03
Meanwhile, this is what we’re looking at for former @DrivelineBB hitting coaches next season 3 MLB Hitting Coaches 4 in Director level positions 4 in Coordinator roles 2 AAA Hitting Coaches 2 AA Hitting Coaches Many others throughout the rest of MiLB and college baseball

Correct! So many complete idiots on this app. But “gurus” think they know more. They need to shut up and LISTEN to people that have been where they dreamed of going. @MLB
@JMikeMLB @MLB @DrivelineBB To understand what you’re saying you’d have to have spent time on a field both playing and coaching. They spend all their time in a cage.
