If the bat is what’s put into play, then yes, Travis would be correct. But, alas, the BALL is what’s put into play, not the bat. When I show you I can increase a player’s average and max exit velocity with a slower bat speed, what does that do to your hypothesis?
Physics is undefeated. More bat speed equals more exit velocity, more margin for error. But how some folks talk about things can create fear, uncertainty and doubt ... bat speed FUD. Let's talk about it:

It was a very real possibility in August that we’d be at this point in the season in shambles. Instead, we have meaningful football still to play in November. No matter the outcome, this season is a step forward. I remember the 90’s too much to not appreciate this.

When a golf course has an area marked ground under repair, do you get free relief from stance only? Absolutely! Ground under repair is just like a cart path. If you have interference with your lie, stance or swing you can play it as it lies or you can take free relief.
