Don’t let the NFL draft distract you from the fact that earlier today our “president” gave one of the most dangerous, embarrassing, and nonsensical press conferences EVER.
From 2004-2006, I would have made a bag 💰 on NIL endorsements. Sadly- I would have blown it all on Natty Light and Lacoste polos (with the collars popped, of course).
All-Star vote leaders in the last 6 seasons:
2017 — LeBron James
2018 — LeBron James
2019 — LeBron James
2020 — LeBron James
2021 — LeBron James
2022 — LeBron James
He also was first in 2007, 2010, 2014.
Luckily the cameras in the arena have better eyes than you.
289 halfcourt matchups
21-56 shooting by Harden as contesting defender
37.5% FG (42.9% eFG)
0.94 points per direct iso allowed on 37 isolations
I guess that’s getting torched???
Patrick Beverley fires back at JJ Redick and says he got torched by James Harden when the Clippers lost a 3-1 lead to the Rockets.
“If I’m being honest, should’ve started Jamal Crawford”

I’ve been back on Twitter for only a few months. My two most controversial tweets so far were when I condemned our president* for telling us to swallow Lysol and tonight when I said the NFL should apologize to
@Kaepernick7
...what does that say?
Out of the 100 most prolific midrange and three point shooters in the last 10 nba seasons, there is ONE player who ranks top 5 in both midrange fg% AND 3p%.
When it’s nearly unanimous amongst your peers that you are the best defensive guard in the league and you don’t make either All-Defense team...that’s a snub.

The top-2 seeds in the East with gargantuan choke jobs in B2B nights. 2nd year in a row there's a not single great team in the NBA. Bunch of mediocre teams and a couple good ones that are extremely flawed
I grew up in the NBA. The teams I was on- we had plenty of motivational speakers. Some of them I really took a lot from & a few were impactful for our team. None of those talks were recorded and then posted to social media. What are we doing now? Is the locker room not sacred
I want to make a snarky comment about Jokic’s triple double and Nuggets win tonight but I’m not gonna do it. I am exhausted by the bullshit. Just enjoy greatness (whether that’s Jokic, Giannis, Dame etc). I am just gonna enjoy being a fan of basketball.
At some point we need to have a long conversation about what Anthony Edwards has done over the last 2 1/2 months. People (including me) were expecting that proverbial “jump” in year 3. He’s done it and he doesn’t turn 22 till August.
The mythical no dip shot from Klay, plus sprinting to his right. This is the absolute hardest type of catch and shoot there is for a righty, and the pinnacle of shooting skill
My biggest takeaway from ep 3/4- circa 1990- MJ was the greatest player in the world. MVP. All Star Game MVP. Scoring champ. ECF appearance, ETC. But was willing to adapt to a new system/philosophy in order to achieve a higher level of success.
I love all the arguments I'm seeing today about the "quality of play" in college hoops, or "the product" or whatever.
Trust me, if NBA teams played 48 minutes of defense like Houston and Nova are tonight, we'd see a lot of games in the 70's and 80's in that league too🤦♂️
My take: both guys are right.
Bird: first great 3-point shooter, first star who embraced it as a legit strategic weapon, hit more dagger big-moment 3s then every other 80s guy combined.
The hangup is “first great” vs. “one of the greatest ever.”
Hey Chip. Don’t know if you know this or not…but on these shows they give you a ridiculous question- which this was- and then ask u to give an answer. Can’t pick both in an “or” question. Then you have to give reasons why to support your stance. That’s TV.
Josh Hart has been letting JJ Redick stay in his New Orleans guest room until Redick finds a place to live. Hart joked that he decided to treat Redick like a son: "At night I tuck him in, give him a kiss on the forehead and tell him good night, then wake him up in the morning."
I am not mad at the reaction- it’s justified. I’m mad at myself. Joel caught me off guard while I was trying to give him a compliment. I could have articulated better- the top 4 or 5 players are all “top 3”. Hard to rank (this isn’t tennis) bc there are too many great players
Key component of NBA restart plans as cases surge in surrounding area:
Disney support staff, as of now, will NOT be subject to NBA's bubble protocols with daily testing/quarantine. They are free to go in and out of campus, per a Disney union official.
@BallsackSports
When I was homeschooled my mom signed me up for the book club. Going to PH to get that personal pan pizza for free was the highlight of my month for years
But see this is why you can’t trust advanced stats and analytics. Amongst players to defend 50 or more shots as the primary defender in the 2019 playoffs, I was first in the entire NBA in opponent FG% (~31%). But eye test proves my defense is the reason we lost to Raptors.
So
@jj_redick
was on court for about 75 def poss. They forced him to switch/iso'd 4x.There were 11 other poss where he was involved in the play. 4 isn't a lot,but it's not nothing.Thx for thinking highly enough of me to expect I'd remember details from a 1st rd series 5 yrs ago🙄
