Not sure funding ECEC like chronically underfunded public schools is the 'solution' . My local schools have dozens of temporary classrooms parked on their ovals and overworked staff. There are better ways to reform ECEC. @MattGrudnoff

Net out of pocket costs for a child in ECEC as a % disposable income fell by 38% after the 2023 Cheaper Childcare reforms according to @ozprodcom ROGS report but is too high for low income families. A 100% CCS rate for low income families would remove cost as a barrier to ECEC.

Its up! The Early Childhood Education and Care (Three Day Guarantee Bill) 2025 has been tabled in Parliament. We have been waiting many years for this very welcome reform.
