When you consider the amount of chances that were wasted in the fixtures against Utd and City(H). Think itโd be fair to assume Jota would be the saviour considering the form he was on pre-injury.

Gakpo as an #8 is one of the worst things Iโve ever seen, obv donโt blame him at all but those CFC/AFC cameos he looked clueless man.
Gakpo is an 8/9 who's good on the wing, think Havertz/Dibling. Klopp profiled him correctly. Shortage of left wing options and dynamics dictated current situation. When Slot stumbles into it sooner or later bc I don't think he'll actively pursue it, everyone will win.

MacAโs ceiling is scary, especially in the final third. Heโs incredible in the first and second phases but there is potential for MacA to be one of the key playmakers in the side.
Hear me out, I actually prefer him playing deeper than the role most want him in (Lcm). The way he progresses the ball and evades the press is so satisfying to watch.

@WhattaHit Jota has the shorter legs but has a good first touch and understands minimal touches is much more efficient. Iโm not too worried about Gakpo when it comes to this as it can be ironed out over time.

Quansah continues to show glimpses as to why is an excellent CB prospect. The pausa from him here is outstanding, he creates the distraction from his poor touch, uses Duranโs deceleration against him and accelerates into the space and seamlessly connects with Jota out wide.

The level of detail in comparison with the City and United game, the way Szo/MacA/Grav nullified any rhythm City were looking for in the halfspaces was outstanding. The amount of ball watching from the players when United were sustaining pressure in the final third was a disgrace.

Curtis Jones was once again one of our most valuable players. Provided so much control and retained the ball incredibly well under pressure. We slowly lost our grip over the match after his substitution, even his biggest haters cannot deny that.

Gyokeres is an insanely mid #9 + I want nothing to do with CFโs from Liga Nos, thatโs the real farmers league. He also has nowhere near the same level of skillset that Ekitike has.
