In real time I observed that volume of shots decreased which made it difficult to judge holistically if he was improving with his finishing.

Despite all of the noise, if you tracked the level of performance Nunez has been displaying in every 90 since last season, we’re now seeing a consistent level of performance. Bringing players into play, aggression in his duels & his OOP game has been top for a while.

Nunez probably came in at a level too low, first season was so wayward that the fan perception became fixed. Klopp leaving probably had an impact on his trajectory. Volume of chances he got under Klopp was much higher & style of play slightly changed (higher focus on Salah). A.

His height and stature makes it seem he isn’t as effective in smaller spaces but he’s pretty proficient in that aspect. Deft touches and being able to complete actions in a single motion is absolutely there.
