Hey @AklTransport this parking is ridiculous. Literally no way for us pedestrians to get past this car without going on the (busy) road. Happening right now, New North Road, next to Wild Wheat.

We are excited to let you know that we will be providing bike valet to every single match for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Save time, money and help reduce emissions in the city and encourage others to do the same.

There shouldn’t be any difference in how people in trouble at sea are treated. But that isn’t the reality. The effort to find and save one of these groups highlights the tragic lack of effort to save the other. Every single person should have access to safety and rescue.

As part of the Climate Expo, Mayor Park Heong-joon of Busan invited some of the city mayors, including Mayor Wayne Brown to sign a joint climate action declaration. It reaffirms many of the commitments in Te Tāruke ā Tāwhiri - Auckland’s Climate Plan.

"The only demonstrations that really work are disruptive ones." @GaryLineker believes disruptive climate protesters could be considered "heroes" if the world takes action against the climate crisis, and says "it's very worrying" people are being arrested for protesting.

Junior doctors (myself included) out in force at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital today - so much public support from passing cars. First year doctors earning the same as when I qualified 10 years ago #payrestoration

Last night I went for a swim at The Olympic Pool in Newmarket 🏊♀️. I'd parked my bicycle on the main street and someone stole my front wheel 😥. Very keen to help support safer bicycle parking for everyone using these community facilities @BikeAKL @BigStreetBikers @AklCouncil

I attended the launch of Woman4Climate 2023 this evening and was introduced to inspiring leaders in climate action, as is this wonderful woman, Tataki Auckland Unlimited's Pam Ford - a jewel in our crown.

Thanks @SVA_NZ for coordinating us all to help with the clean-up from the recent floods. Some devastating scenes. We've got a long way to go to get Tāmaki Makaurau back on its feet. Please volunteer if you can. Kia kaha 💛

Auckland - Avoid non-essential travel today. Stay home if you can. If you do have to travel, drive to the conditions and never drive through floodwaters. If you come to a flooded area, turn around and go another way. Put safety first. Don’t take any chances.
