I'm honoured to present my PhD work I did at @aberdeenuni at today's #tenovussymposium23 at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, which was only possible thanks to the generous Moulton-Barrett Scholarship from @TenovusScotland

I'm starting to shop around for a new phone and it's frustrating to see that no one is catering towards women with small hands, who still would like to have a phone with good specs AND I could use it with one hand. It's 2023, I dont buy that this won't fit into a smaller phone.

ok, last comment on this. I just got an e-mail from them probably as a follow-up to the press release with a little certificate as a thanks for my support. This is so wholesome 🥲

After years of extensive preparations, 22 wildcats have been released into the Cairngorms National Park as part of landmark efforts to save the species from extinction within Scotland. https://t.co/XSsbfvTVGb

Scottish wildcats have been released into the Cairngorms National Park 🐈. Known as Highland tigers, they are Scotland’s last remaining native cat species. We're proud to support this project which draws on global conservation expertise. Find out more➡️ https://t.co/qMFykAAlEA

I'm all for reducing use of animals but this is unfortunately the hard truth, especially in Neuroscience
🎙️ In a recent @ConsumerChoiceC podcast episode, EARA executive director @kirk_EARA has urged caution about the ‘wishful thinking’ of animal groups that have called for the immediate phase-out of #AnimalResearch. @wirtzbill

I've been on writing twitter now for a while and I'm very glad to have support elsewhere because so much of the advice is not helpful and w/o support I would be so overwhelmed. Please stop telling people about your hack to write 1000 words a day. This is toxic and discouraging

Jeeeeesus I didn't expect this to happen in the UK. This is absolutely terrifying.
Today, a mother-of-three has been jailed for 28 months after using abortion pills to end her own pregnancy. No woman can ever go through this again. We need abortion law reform in Great Britain NOW. #TimeToAct

Not collecting data of all genders is happening across different medical research fields. When I pointed an imbalance out in a colleague's work they told me it's too difficult to collect female data. This kind of thinking can and is already harming women's lifes and needs to stop
Important work from @StanfordDeptMed's Celina Yong. Trials with female PIs are associated with greater recruitment of female patients, but the proportion of cardiovascular trials led by women has not increased over the past decade. #InclusiveTrials
