Fantastic presentation by Premek Bercik @Bercik_Collins - longstanding research on food triggers of IBS with a focus on gluten/wheat @Farncombe_GI . High nocebo effect with strong beliefs are the main driver of food reaction. The study was supported by @SSCDCeliac. Stay tuned

@hansermoore⁩ talks #IBS today. Great podcast. Explanation why “antidepressants” beneficial for some patients would be useful though. They are acting peripherally as gut-brain neuromodulators not centrally on mood. Helps destigmatise their use.
