5/ This isn’t just about individual attacks - it’s about the environment that allows hate to flourish. Communities need protection, and perpetrators must be brought to justice.

4/ Recent cases show the rise of far-right confidence in targeting minoritised women, leaving them anxious in everyday spaces and questioning their safety.

3/ More than 150 people marched on Sunday, demanding action. The threats are ongoing. Women are being targeted on the streets, with attacks designed to intimidate whole communities.

2/ The march was organised by Surwat Sohail, CEO of @RoshniBham - an Imkaan member supporting Black & minoritised women affected by domestic abuse.

6/ 👉🏽 In response to the far-right threat, a smaller working group - including @Imkaan, @RunnymedeTrust, @MigrantVoiceUK and others - has been established to coordinate a national response.

5/ Concrete next steps were agreed: 1️⃣ Revising the Alliance’s terms of reference 2️⃣ Exploring new members (particularly Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic-led organisations representing disabled people) 3️⃣ Developing a shared Theory of Change.

4/ Members also highlighted the need for better regional representation outside London and for sharing expertise more widely across the network.

3/ Discussions reaffirmed the Alliance’s commitment to influencing government policy, strengthening collaboration across organisations, and keeping the voices of communities most affected by racism at the centre of all work.

2/ 32 participants from various organisations came together to reflect on the political and social landscape, the challenges we face, and the work each organisation is leading to tackle racism.
