The danger we face is not asylum seekers in hotels. It is a political culture that dresses racism in pink and calls it protection while cutting services victims need to survive. A government serious about ending VAWG must stop blaming migrants and start resourcing the frontline.

We are seeing a surge in online abuse of women - from MPs to public figures - who speak out against gender-based violence being weaponised to promote a racist, anti-migrant agenda. It was clearly never about ending violence against women.
