"I to the world am like a drop of water That in the ocean seeks another drop..." New NASA research suggests four of Uranus’ largest moons, some named for Shakespeare characters, likely contain an ocean layer between their cores and icy crusts. https://t.co/3Jj0FuTB49

Imagine what we'll be able to do from Uranus orbit someday... those satellites are still points of light to #JWST, but an Orbiter would explore them in all their resolved glory!

Uranus has never looked better. Really. Only Voyager 2 and Keck (with adaptive optics) have imaged the planet's faintest rings before, and never as clearly as Webb’s first glimpse at this ice giant, which also highlights bright atmospheric features. https://t.co/aE3rJIqVKy

Been wanting to do this animation for a while.. The changing face of Uranus 2015-2022, as its orbital position causes the north pole to turn towards us. Best IR image from each year taken with my 444mm dobsonian & various @zwoasi cameras. All from my back garden in St.Albans, UK

Chloe Beddingfield—Uranus's moon, Miranda, exhibits many craters with muted topography, consistent with mantling of a thick layer of regolith. Where does this come from? Hypotheses range from a giant impact, cryovolcanic plumefall, or deposition from Uranus's rings. #LPSC2023

It's exciting!! We may have found evidence that supports the presence of an ocean world (or two!?) at #Uranus! https://t.co/oH2ZvwusZp

Uranus & Neptune are two of the solar system’s largest planets, yet they’ve hardly been explored, other than by @NASAVoyager 2 over 30yrs ago. 🔵 🔭 A mission to the #IceGiants could solve mysteries about their atmosphere, moons, & interior structure. https://t.co/dcrQiQVxQL

Well, we might have phrased it *slightly* differently, but we completely agree with the sentiment! 💯 🚀 🛰 Based on a great perspectives piece by @mommascientist https://t.co/QpAflcWolT

The seventh planet from the Sun is as mysterious as it is elusive, prompting astronomers to press for the first dedicated mission to the ice giant.

Thanks to @Thievesbook for this link. Al Hibbs, from JPL, came to Bath in 1986 to make this film after Voyager 2 encountered Uranus, the planet discovered by William Herschel in 1782. https://t.co/lSm0f0o6vE

I went along to the Ice Giant session this afternoon 🥶 My favourite talk obviously involved icy moons (4 potential ocean worlds around Uranus!!), but also enjoyed learning about ice giant atmospheres 🛰❄️ #EPSC2022
