Without a standardized model interface equivalent to SATA or SCSI this analogy makes no sense. There’s lots of stickiness in the app and data layer, but significant value in the model too.
LLMs are the new disk drives: commodity infrastructure you hot-swap for whoever’s cheapest + best. The fantasy that the model is a moat just expired. ☠️
