I plan on doing it when I retire and have spoken with the commission about it. Problem with most fighters is the bias towards what created there personal success like Damian Maia/bjj, Cormier/wrestling, etc. I intend on helping to further this sport for years beyond retirement
It drives me nuts when people say, "More ex-fighters should be judges!" Combat literacy is important, but the skills don't overlap as much as people think.
Also, do you know what's stopping ex-fighters from signing up?
