Under massive pressure, the Government have ‘promised’ to remove the cuts to PIP but they are still written into this bill. Unfortunately, from the watering down of the Hillsborough Law to the still not passed Football Regulator Bill - what is their promise worth? #itfc.

Despite the protests of disabled groups, foodbanks + his constituents - our MP voted for this bill. Once again, #itfc fans will have to do the job of the Government in protecting our community. Still time to do the right thing - vote against at the third reading @jackabbott90.

43% of disabled people in Ipswich will lose £1000s in support under the proposed Welfare Bill. This will put even more pressure on the foodbank you collect for on match days. We've written to @jackabbott90 urging him to vote against this bill which will force more into poverty

Our club have had a long association with TeamCard - who have supplied the hardware for turnstiles at Portman Road. We were proud to second this motion to keep facial recognition out of football. #itfc.

We trust you will stand with disabled people and their families by voting against measures that will push more Ipswich residents into poverty. We look forward to your response on how you intend to vote on this crucial issue. 11/11.

A compassionate society supports its most vulnerable members. These cuts will not reduce the number of disabled people in our community, they will only make their lives harder and increase reliance on foodbanks. 10/11.

It would make a huge difference if you were to add your name to the list of 100+ Labour colleagues backing the amendment put forward by 13 Parliamentary committee chairs. If that amendment is not accepted then please join the growing number of MPs who oppose the cuts to PIP. 9/11.

The human cost is immeasurable. We urge you to consider the impact of these cuts on your constituency and beyond. Hunger doesn't wear club colours, similarly, it doesn't wear party colours. 8/11.

Short-term welfare savings lead to increased costs for local authorities, foodbanks and charitable organisations already under pressure. 7/11.

When this support is removed, families face impossible choices between heating, eating and accessing essential care. These cuts create a false economy. 6/11.

These cuts will drive more people into poverty and food insecurity. Disabled people who rely on PIP to cover essential costs of living with disabilities will be disproportionately affected by these cuts. 5/11.

As foodbank volunteers, we see the immediate impact when people lose benefits. Families who have never needed help before suddenly cannot afford basic groceries. Disabled people are forced to choose between necessary equipment and feeding their families. 4/11.

The Department for Work and Pensions estimates that 1.3 million people across the UK could lose PIP support under these proposed changes. Make no mistake, this will have devastating consequences for our most vulnerable residents. 3/11.
