Canada killed more people with their MAID “healthcare” option than the US had gun homicides in 2024
@awstar11 They made semi-automatic assault rifles a right. Why not Healthcare?

Today, Maccabi Tel Aviv fans travelled to Stuttgart and the match passed with barely a ripple. Perhaps it’s easier when your police force isn’t so intimidated by its Islamist population that it bans Jewish fans - and then lies to the public about why. Isn't that so @WMPolice?

In fact, the left has never been very comfortable with the liberal bargain. Its willingness to use state coercion to impose its values on people against their will is part of why our politics are such a mess.

Republican claims of Democratic hypocrisy may sometimes be overblown, but they are decidedly not imagined.

HAPPENING NOW: Our soon-to-be Mayor Zohran Mamdani is receiving a hero’s welcome at tonight’s massive Satmar gathering at the Waterfront Square, tens of thousands of Anti-Zionist Orthodox Jews in attendance. Thank you, @ZohranKMamdani Hey Zionists, by your own rulebook, I

The other day I posted that you can't understand the crisis on the right without realizing they are reacting against genuine illiberalism on the left. Here are 2,500 words' worth of receipts. https://t.co/GojoAtFBe8

It’s important that we start watching @CBSNews now that @bariweiss is cleaning up their malpractice. They need numbers to validate this change and it may spur other MSM outlets to return to journalism.
JUST ANNOUNCED: Emmy Award-winning journalist Tony Dokoupil has been named anchor of @CBSEveningNews . He’ll start on Jan. 5 — ushering in an ambitious new era for America’s longest-running nightly newscast, airing weekdays at 6:30 PM ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Read

@PushDemsLeft Between 1967 and 1987, the start of the first Intifada, the West Bank and Gaza had the highest economic growth rate in the world, with massive increases in literacy, housing with indoor plumbing, and every other major standard-of-living indicator. Plus new hospitals, schools, and

It’s the meme in one tweet, and he almost certainly can’t see it.
Trump often lies about Democrats giving healthcare to undocumented immigrants. In California, Newsom actually did it. And defends it. "I'm proud of that. I believe in universal health care." But, he says, "we failed on the border. We need to own up to that."

This is an entirely illiterate post by @DeanBaker13. I’ve spent 30 years as a first amendment scholar and practitioner. This is probably the most free speech protective court in U.S. history.
Too bad we have six justices on the Supreme Court that have never heard of the First Amendment. I remember back in the days when Elon the Clown proclaimed himself a free speech absolutists, oh well.

This is not even remotely true. Jane Austen was a genius, and her insights into human nature, as well as the world in which she lived, are unparalleled. She was witty, kind, funny, poignant. What more do you want from a writer?
My university had a Great Books curriculum and one of the last books on the syllabus was ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and I told my professor that we were only reading it because they wanted to add a woman author to the list and he fidgeted uncomfortably because it was obviously true

We should stay angry about school closings because the people responsible for them never paid a price or explained why they went so wrong.
Today on Normally with @karol, we are very Still Mad Bro about school closings and the excuses people STILL make about them, then onto some good ol’ media bias and, as always, we are on Widow Defense for Erika Kirk. https://t.co/HaNKS6GYXh

Fantastic news. Our JD/PhD @DennisWieboldt is such an exciting (and astonishingly productive!) young scholar. PS. This is two years in a row that an @NDLaw student has won first prize (and the 3rd time in 5 years).
Dennis Wieboldt (@DennisWieboldt), a joint J.D./Ph.D. student in history at @NotreDame, was awarded the prestigious 2025 Brown Award for Excellence in Legal Writing by the Judge John R. Brown Scholarship Foundation. His paper, titled “(Strict) Scrutinizing Regulatory Exemptions:

NEW: Nonprofits have been exploiting the fiscal sponsorship loophole to finance terrorism and support riots, road blockades, and vandalism. Closing it is not hard. I lay out the options in @WSJopinion.

Small changes to ‘fiscal sponsorships’ would make it harder to raise money for unlawful causes.

It's everywhere in academia. Alison Stanger, who got a concussion and torn neck tendons helping me get to the car during the Middlebury fracas, was a Middlebury professor of 20+ years standing, solidly liberal and supposedly a beloved colleague. All but a handful of her
@hoovlet People with tenure--the ultimate job security--and in positions of status and influence cowered and remained mute. A shameful episode, marring the reputation of Harvard and the academy more broadly.
