@biorxivpreprint #2 from Matt newly identifies increased cytosolic sodium as a common activator of the #NLRP3 inflammasome in human macrophages. Endo/lysosomal damage results in Na+ driven cell swelling which causes K+ efflux, and inhibits trafficking.
