To help sustain health services in Idlib, the @ICRC, in cooperation with @SYRedCrescent, delivered surgical instruments, operating-room equipment and medical devices to Idlib University Hospital, strengthening emergency and surgical care for nearly 3 million people in NW Syria.

From 11 to 13 November, families inside Syria joined the International Conference for Families of Missing Persons for the first time. Connecting remotely with families around the world, they shared their stories and found strength in knowing they are not alone.

📍In Rural Damascus, the @ICRC and @SYRedCrescent concluded training under the #microeconomic initiative, focusing on project management to help participants grow their small businesses. A selected group will receive further support to expand their work and create jobs.

Despite losing his arm, Abu Isa never gave up. 💪 Once a taxi driver, he opened a hardware shop in Raqqa after his injury, expanding it with support from the @ICRC & @SYRedCrescent. Today, it provides a steady income, and he takes pride in teaching his children. 👇

The Ain al-Bayda project is part of a broader ICRC effort to rehabilitate seven major water stations across Syria, providing water to nearly 12 million people in Aleppo, Latakia, Homs, Daraa, Hassakeh, and Rural Damascus.

💧After years of disruption, the Ain al-Bayda water pumping station in rural Aleppo is fully back in service. Rehabilitated by the ICRC, SARC, Aleppo Water Board, and UNICEF, it brings safe water to 260,000 people.

📍In Idlib, in cooperation with @SYRedCrescent, the @ICRC provided medical supplies and medicines to the Idlib Health Directorate, to support health centers and strengthen primary healthcare services for around 3 million people, including over 1 million in camps.

“I just hope life improves for everyone.” ✨ Mohammad, from Hasakah, turned 20 years of aluminum experience into his own workshop with support from @ICRC& @SYRedCrescent 🔧 He now makes doors, windows, kitchens, and more, gaining independence and supporting his family. 💪

📍In Sanjjar, Idlib, the @ICRC, together with @SYRedCrescent and Idlib Health Directorate, is supporting families returning home by improving access to primary healthcare. New clinics will serve around 30,000 people with free essential medicines and vital health services.🩺

The Ministry of Health, with @ICRC support, hosted the 2025 National Forensic Medicine Conference in Damascus, bringing together judges, prosecutors, forensic experts, and the National Commission for the Missing to discuss the future and humanitarian role of forensics in Syria.

📍In Al-Hamrat village, rural Raqqa, @ICRC & @SYRedCrescent held a 3-day community event to raise awareness about weapon contamination. Through videos, photos & games, children, women & men learned how to stay safe from unexploded ordnance.

💧 In a joint effort to secure safe water, @ICRC & @SYRedCrescent provided a medium-voltage motor to Aleppo Water Board. ⚙️ Once installed at Al-Khafsa station, it will power a pump delivering 4,500 m³/h, supplying clean water to nearly 800,000 people in Aleppo & its outskirts.

"Here, I feel safe. What I share stays confidential. I talk, I relax, and let go of my worries." Ali, who has lived in Al-Hol camp since 2018, says mental health sessions supported by @SYRedCrescent and @ICRC have helped him change and heal.

In Ras Alein, 500 farmers received drip irrigation systems, bean seeds, and fertiliser from the @ICRC & @SYRedCrescent, tools that help them grow more food using less water, support their families, and strengthen their communities.

Huda lost her leg, her sisters, and her fiancé to the war. For 10 years, fear and pain ruled her life. With trauma therapy at the @ICRC’s Physical Rehabilitation Centre, she learned to cope and heal. Today, Huda faces life with strength and hope. 💙
