@SYRedCrescent Fatima received her third prosthesis during her recent visit. She will require a new prosthetic device every 2-3 years for the rest of her life. Her journey reminds us that while immediate care is crucial, sustained access to quality rehabilitation services is equally vital.

Earlier a journey from Manbij to #Aleppo meant hours of travel for Fatima across checkpoints & barriers - a tough experience for any amputee. ICRC-SARC shuttle service that Fatima used during her last visit, made her access to our rehabilitation centre safer & more dignified.

Displaced by recent violence in #Sweida, southern #Syria, families in Saida Zeinab in Rural Damascus received 700 canned food parcels including 150 packs of dates from @ICRC & @SYRedCrescent. 20 emergency water tanks are being installed to ensure their access to clean water.

ICRC joined a @SyRedCrescent humanitarian convoy sent to Sweida to deliver aid, to assess firsthand people`s needs on the 28th of July. These joint efforts are vital & should continue, as the urgency & scope of humanitarian needs remain high. Full NR 👇

Continuing our immediate response to the dire needs of families fleeing escalation of violation in southern Syria, ICRC & @SYRedCrescent visited today 5 IDP centers, and have supported shelters and the national hospital with urgent water & health assistance during last week.

Since the violence started in Southern #Syria, we've engaged with all sides to ensure aid gets through. Supported by the @ICRC, @SYRedCrescent delivered essential aid to #Sweida on July 20 & 23—medical supplies, food, water. But the needs remain immense.

Our partners @SYRedCrescent delivered much needed aid for the affected people in Sweida yesterday. Supported by @ICRC @IFRC @UNICEF @WFP, this relief is vital in meeting urgent needs. Much more needs to be done. We stand ready to support & continue these efforts on the ground.

We continue to coordinate with @SYRedCrescent, @ifrc & local authorities on the wildfire response in #Lattakia. Our Water & Habitat team is also monitoring any potential water & electricity damage caused & will assess the situation on the ground once the fire is contained.

@ICRC @SYRedCrescent @SyriaCivilDefe The aim of the workshops is to share experiences, enhance knowledge and skills, and foster multi-sectoral collaboration for effective emergency preparedness and response. Additional workshops are planned in the upcoming months.

The @ICRC, with @SYRedCrescent, Ministries of Health, Emergency & Disaster, including @SyriaCivilDefe, & Ministry of Interior, held a Mass Casualty Management workshop in #Damascus. 33 personnel participated in the workshop, which included practical exercise simulations.
