الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي لأسر المفقودين هو حق وليس رفاهية. عقدت @IIMPSyria اجتماع خبراء لمناقشة تصميم سياسة الصحة النفسية والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي الخاصة بها. شارك في الاجتماع 19 ممثلًا من الهيئة الوطنية للمفقودين، والمجتمع المدني، ومجموعات الضحايا، ومنظمات دولية.

🟧A fundamental right: MHPSS is not optional & must be integrated into every intervention for missing persons & their families. 🟧Enabler for the search: Access to MHPSS supports families in continuing their meaningful and active participation in the search for their loved ones.

Key insights: 🟧Families first: Their voices must guide the policy. 🟧Diversity matters: The policy should reflect realities of all communities affected by disappearances. 🟧Cultural roots: Collective healing practices grounded in social & cultural contexts must be recognized.

Mental health & psychosocial support for families of missing persons = a right, not a luxury. @IIMPSyria held an expert meeting on its Mental Health & Psychosocial Support policy with 19 reps. of Syria’s National Commission on Missing Persons,CSOs, victims’ groups& int. partners.

This declaration reflects our mandate and principles of independence, complementarity, and non-duplication, ensuring that resources and expertise are used efficiently and collaboratively to bring truth and peace to families and Syrian society.
