WFD is extremely saddened to announce that at approx 1522 hrs, while operating at a mutual aid fire, 1 of our own was injured in the line of duty, & later succumbed to the injury. WFD is working to ensure family is appropriately notified before sharing details. Rest in peace.

Communities across the country rely on AFG and SAFER grants to make sure enough #firefighters are trained, equipped, and ready when you call 911. Thank you, @POTUS, for ensuring this critical funding continues.
Today, I signed the Fire Grants and Safety Act, a bill that'll allow our communities to hire more firefighters and provide first responders the safety they deserve. This is just one of 400 bipartisan laws I've signed, proving there’s nothing we can’t do if we do it together.
